Enablement Project
Funder Department of Adult Social Care
Duration Jan 2008 - March 2010.
Location Residents in Cornwall.
Aims
The aim of the project is to identify activities and support individuals to access them for up to 3 months. The client would then be exited from this service and the client should be able to continue to access the activity unsupported. Should the client wish to continue to progress in other areas the keyworker will be able to signpost to relevant projects.
This project will support adults with mental health issues who fall into the low to moderate fair access to care services (FACS) and/or who are not eligible to receive a service from the Community Mental Health Teams(CMHT) or who are not receiving a regular service from the CMHT.
The project will give people the opportunity of taking part in activities or training which develop self-esteem, promote confidence and encourage individuals to join peer or similar interest groups where support may be gained. All this will be offered along with the physical support needed to take those first steps into a more fulfilling and independent lifestyle.
