Information Advice and Guidance
Funder
Learning Skills Council co finance project.
Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) is a service that Pentreath deliver in partnership with Nextstep. An IAG is a one to one discussion with an adviser who is qualified to give advice about learning and work. It is a free session that typically lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour. You will leave the session with a completed action plan detailing your chosen path forward.
If you do not have a level 2 qualification - that's 5 GCSEs or O level passes at grades A - C or an NVQ level 2 qualification - then you are able to receive an IAG session.
Each client who is eligible to receive a session has the opportunity to do so as part of whichever Pentreath project you are participating in. Your keyworker will then help you to work through your action plan and help ensure that you achieve all that you wish, and hopefully more.
As a result of an IAG session you may discover that you would like to improve literacy and / or numeracy, begin a course of home learning, attend college, start a volunteer placement or look towards employment. All these are common goals and our aim is to help you achieve them.
