Worklink

Funder Learning Skills Council co finance project.

Duration May 2007 to June 2008

Aims
Worklink is a 12 month project designed to raise the awareness of mental health within the business sector of Cornwall and to establish a support network under the Mindful Employer charter. This network will be run by employers for employers enabling them to work together in partnership to ensure that Cornwall is in the forefront of reducing the stigma surrounding Mental Health.

The project will provide free mental health awareness training to employers enabling them to understand mental health and therefore support staff and new employees to reduce sick leave and increase productivity within their organisations. Worklink will also support people back into full or part-time employment; each client will be supported by a key-worker who will help to facilitate the change from unemployment back into the Cornish workforce. Clients will be coached throughout the process actively engaging them with vocational training and ensuring that confidence self-esteem and overall well-being is achieved and maintained.
