Projects

Compass

The Compass project supports residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, aged 15-24 who are NEET (not in employment, education, or training). It will enable them to develop the resilience, employability skills and labour market intelligence to make informed choices around access to education, employment and training based on their interests, skills, abilities, and the needs of the labour market.

***  Please note this project is now closed to new referrals  ***

The COMPASS project is part funded by the European Social fund, Careers South West manage the contract on behalf of Cornwall Council who are the grant recipients.   Pentreath are a partner organisation within this partnership.

The project will enable young people to develop the resilience, employability skills and labour market intelligence to make informed choices around access to education, employment and training based on their interests, skills, abilities, and the needs of the labour market.

At Pentreath each young person who joins the project will be assigned a 1 to 1 advisor who will support them from the start until the agreed end point, therefore building and developing a close working relationship. This will help each young person to improve and develop their mental health, improve resilience and move towards a positive pathway.  We use a practical, hands on approach to supporting young people and always place them at the centre of the provision.
