OUR SERVICES
Pentreath works Collaboratively with Citizens Advice Cornwall (CAC) to deliver specialist Mental Health & Debt support within the People in Mind Project
The aims of the People in Mind project are:
The service principles of the People in Mind project are:
The PIM Project offers a service that is free, confidential and impartial. It is a collaborative project that provides holistic, trauma informed, person-centred, and individually tailored mental health support and advice to meet clients’ needs, with supportive referral to debt advice with Cornwall Citizen Advice.
Clients are allocated an Adviser to support their mental ill health and if the individual has debt concerns the PiM Mental Health Adviser will refer the client and initiate a meeting with a Money Caseworker from Citizens Advice Cornwall, to deal with their debt and financial issues/concerns. The programme of support lasts 6 – 8 sessions over 3 months and the client is then helped to access other services they might need to help them move forward with their lives, when the support has concluded.
Access/Referrals to the project can be made via the Community Gateway. People can access the Gateway via a dedicated telephone line – 01872 266383, and email – gateway@ageukcornwall.org.uk
The Gateway is open from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Referrals can also be made directly to Pentreath by the client or a third party.
Citizens Advice Cornwall can be contacted for support directly by texting the word ADVICE to 78866 and they will call back (excluding weekends and bank holidays) or by calling the Adviceline on 0800 144 8848 Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.
