Level 2 Disability Confident Employer Award

Pentreath, has joined a network of over 20,000 employers and become a Level 2 recognised Disability Confident employer.  Pentreath has been helping to change people’s lives in the county for the last 30 years and is not only recognised for its hard work and dedication to its clients but also to its workforce too.

Pentreath Ltd is based in Summercourt and offers their support to people across the whole of Cornwall.  The charity was established in 1991 and now employs 136 members of staff.  They support people who live in Cornwall who are struggling with or recovering from mental health issues to achieve their goals in personal development, education and employment.  It is celebrating after being accredited to Level 2 for being a Disability Confident Employer, demonstrating the high standard of recruitment and staff retention practices at Pentreath.  Pentreath prides itself on its diverse workforce and the wealth of skills, knowledge and experience everyone brings to the workplace.

Commenting on the award, Louise Knox, Chief Executive, said, “This award makes me so proud.  We live every working day to ensure all our staff are supported and we recruit in a disability confident way.  A diverse workforce makes for an inclusive, welcoming and productive place to enable all of us to support the vulnerable people we work with whilst maintaining high levels of health and wellbeing for our staff.”
